Dollar for dollar, our dental plan is the self-funded dental plan administration that pays the most for actual treatment. Employers are provided with a plan that provides them with more control and less cost, while employees are provided the ability to choose his/her dentist of choice.

Employers may choose from two dental plans:

  • Traditional Dental Plan - Pays for 100% of preventative care, 80% of basic and 50% of major services that are rendered with the maximum yearly benefit. This plan is just like a traditional plan, only it’s self-funded. Once an employee reaches their claim dollar maximum for the plan year ($1,000), they are done for the rest of that year.
  • Dollar Based Plan - A simplistic, consumer-driven plan. For example, the plan could be set up so the employee pays 100% of the first $200 in acquired dental care, 80% of the next $625 and 50% of the next $600 with a maximum benefit of $1,000. This plan gives employees the same maximum benefit as the plan above, but it’s much easier for them to understand. The main diference is they don’t need to be concerned if the services they receive are preventative, basic or major.

Employer Plan Benefits

  • Self-funded - Employers decide on the annual limit set per employee for individual or family coverage and the type of plan.
  • Tighter cost control - Our statistics show that only about 60% of covered employees take advantage of their dental benefits each year. Your company only pays claims for employees who actually visit the dentist compared to paying insurance premiums for every employee regardless of plan usage.
  • Customized plan design - Plans are individually tailored based on the needs and objectives of each employer.
  • No premiums - Pay only for actual treatment, not overhead.

Employee Plan Benefits

  • Maximimum benefit usage - Payments based solely on the cost of care and type of service, and major work is planned with the dentist in order to receive full benefits.
  • Freedom of choice - Choose any dentist and still receive benefits according to the type of service rendered.
Since both plans have the same maximum benefit amount of $1,000, employees are encouraged to spent the money wisely as if it was their own. Employers enjoy knowing how every dollar is spent, and they have comfort in knowing the insurance carrier isn’t keeping all of the cash. If no claims are presented, no money is spent. There are no hidden fees!
